Its a word we have explored before, the Hebrew word nephesh נפש (neh'-fesh). It's definitions are “breathing, vitality”. It's root definitions are “be breathed upon, refreshed”. For the purposes of this body of work I have given the word “soul” as a translation for nephesh, thus keeping Hebraic intent intact. Indeed even modern translations utilize soul as well as “life, mind, heart, creature, body”, as translations.

And the Hebrew language leads us to the word overwhelmingly utilized in Scripture to the “breath” of the matter – the word rûwach רוח (roo'-akh). Having previously learned the rûwach deals with both the “Mind” of Yahweh and the “mind” of the fallen self, we see how nephesh ties in. Combining both words we see true Hebraic intent; “Active (nephesh) Mind (the rûwach referencing Yahweh)!” and “Active (nephesh) mind (the rûwach referencing the thought body of the fallen self)!” The 144,000 know well that modern translators never reveal the fact that it is the word rûwach that is often and erroneously translated as the word “Spirit”, and that it is the same exact word (rûwach) that Scripture references when discussing man's fallen mind (lower case “spirit”). Enough said!

“As the heart (“strength”) pants (“long”) after streams (“gathering”) of water (fruitification), so my soul (active mind) pants (longs) for You, O Yahweh.” (Psalm 42:1)
