Message 226

The Hebrew word is Qôrach קרח (ko'-rakh). It's definition is “smooth”. Hebraic intent applied, we come to perceive that it speaks to the personal will's cunningness; the mind's rebellion against the will of Yahweh.

When Mosheh (thoughts that “draw out” Yahweh's will) made it clear that he was only ever speaking “The will of the Father” (Numbers 16:28), he was doing so to every thought [man] that were involved in the cunning, internal deceptions. And because such deception would always be seen as “rejecting Yahweh” (16:30), Yahweh had/has a response for such: “The ground (aka “earth, land, country, world, way”; the lower thought plain firmly held to by fallen minds) split (“rend”; division) apart underneath (destroying the foundations) them [“cunning” thoughts/cunning men], and the earth (fallen thought plain) opened it's mouth (“blow, breath”; internal voice) and swallowed (“destroy”) them up, along with their households (totality of “built” up thoughts), and all their possessions (mind's “acquisitions”). They and all those with (behaving deceptively) them went down alive (while active) into their grave (“retreat”). The earth (lower thought plain) closed (“fill”; consumed) over them, and they all perished from the congregation (thoughts “assembled” to do Yahweh's will).” (Numbers 16:31-33)

The 144,000 know the difference between what the “cunningness (knowledge, weave, wise)” of Yahweh is, and the cunningness (“smooth”) produced by the personal will. They seek hard to know such things.
